Thomas Rhett is one of the most popular American country singers and songwriters. He was signed under Big Machine Records’ Valory Music and has released four studio albums under the company. His albums were named Tangled Up, Life Changes, It Goes Like This and Center Point Road.
He was able to produce a total of 17 singles under these albums on the acclaimed Hot Country and Country Airplay charts. In addition, 12 of these singles became no. 1. Aside from being a singer, he has written songs for other artists including Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, LoCash, Michael Ray and Lee Brice.
Early Life
Thomas Rhett Atkins Jr. is actually the son of one the famous country music artists. Thomas Rhett dad Thomas Atkins was his role model. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on March 30, 1990. He was influenced greatly by his father. He went on to go to college but eventually dropped out when he was 20 years old to follow his dream of becoming an artist himself.
One time, he was performing in a club when an executive at Big Machine Label Group approached him and asked if he wanted to take on a songwriting job. He said yes and went on to write I Ain’t Ready to Quit for Jason Aldean. The song was featured in his 2010 album entitled My Kind of Party.
Rhett was inspired by Aldean and wanted to follow his footsteps including those of Brantley Gilbert and Justin Moore. It was in 2011 when he released his first single, Something to Do with My Hands. In 2013, he revealed his first self-titled EP and full-length debut called It Goes Like This. It wasn’t long before Thomas Rhett songs gained popularity in the country music industry.
Personal life
Rhett tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Lauren Gregory on October 12, 2012. Thomas Rhett wife was a close friend because they knew each other from kindergarten and went to the same church camp. They even dated for a while when they were in high school.
Unfortunately, Thomas Rhett and wife were unsuccessful to conceive a baby during the first few months of their marriage that’s why they decided to adopt a girl. They completed the adoption of Willa Gray in May 2017 and had their first biological daughter, Ada James, on August 12, 2017.
