Josie Totah, formerly known as JJ, is a singer, TV, film and voice actress, comedian and trans activist from the United States. She came to prominence as a child actor, starring in different Nickelodeon and Disney productions. Her most famous screen appearances include Seymour O'Reilly in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," Myron Muskovitz in "Glee" and Lexi in the "Saved by the Bell" reboot. Josie came out as a transgender woman at the age of 17 in an interview published in the Time magazine.

TV career

Josie started acting in small-budget independent productions when she was 12. Her acting skills were quickly noticed by TV producers looking for child actors. She landed a recurring role of Stuart Wooten in the Disney's popular sitcom called "Jessie."

Capitalizing on her initial success, Josie played main and supporting roles in similar family-oriented shows, including "Back in the Game," "Glee," "Tween Fest," and "Champions." She voiced Prince Jin in "Sofia the First," and made a well-received appearance in the "Kroll Show" sketch comedy series, hosted by Nick Kroll.

Since 2018, Josie has played a few dynamic female characters in "No Good Nick," "Saved by the Bell," "iCarly," and "Mr. Mayor."

She is outspoken about her identity and considers it an important part of her acting career. Currently, Josie is studying film-making at Chapman University in California.
