    Allen Iverson, originally named Allen Ezail Iverson, is the professional basketball player from the United States of America. He is also known by the moniker ‘The Answer’. The tough guy played fourteen seasons in the NBA (National Basketball Association). He is a smart player who can perform well at both the point guard and shooting guard positions. The lad became an eleven-time NBA All-Star. In 2001 and 2005, he won the popular All-Star game MVP award. He has been declared as the most valuable player (MVP) of the National Basketball Association. In 2016, the amazing sportsman was inducted into Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

    He became a dual-sport athlete after attending the Bethel High School located in Hampton, Virginia. During her educational era at high school, he also received the ‘Player of the Year Award’ in both basketball and football. He led his team and won the Virginia State Championship in football and basketball. He continued playing his all-time favorite sport of Basketball even after leaving school.     Iverson was declared eligible for the 1996’s NBA draft after playing for two successful years at Georgetown. He got selected to become a part of Philadelphia 76ers.     Allen took his first breath on Jun 7, 1975, in Hampton, Virginia. Astonishingly, he was born to a single mother who was a 15-year old girl at the time of Iverson’s birth. His father left Ann Iverson, the player’s mother after she was found pregnant with his son. The hardworking lady struggled a lot to provide for her little one. Allen was born and raised to a very wicked neighborhood.

    Drugs and all other criminal activities were pretty normal in the surroundings. It wasn’t a healthy environment for a little kid to grow up. He was selected for the NBA draft after completing his two seasons for the University of Georgetown. After his fortunate selection, he began playing basketball for this team from Philadelphia.

    From 1998 to 1999, he was able to earn the first title score of 26.8 points, which finally led the league. This opportunity was enough for him to partake in the first-ever All NBA team and play his playoffs. He disagreed with his team coach, Larry Brown, in 2000 off-season. In 2001, he led his team to win ten fantastic games and averaged a thrilling score of 31.1. This was the 2nd highest NBA scoring title of the player. The stunner averaged 27.6 per game in season that was played from 2002 to 2003.
